A sudden pile of pretty-shaped leaves, as we stepped outside...
The cool, rough pattern of an old tree trunk (I love old trees)...
Mother Nature's last splash of red, still hanging on...
A stone marking the route of George Washington's march by night to a battle against the British in 1777...
{I love that almost 250 years later, an American and a Brit would stumble on this American-British war site, during a peaceful walk in the woods, hand-in-hand, in love.}
~ Wishing you a peaceful week ahead, full of sweet, little surprises! ~

Trees are kindred spirits! Walks with the ones you love are the very best.
Beautiful and interesting photos!
That old tree trunk is pretty spectacular. And how I miss brightly colored leaves! We get a little of that here in northern California, but it's nothing like the south, where the trees are a veritable rainbow!
beautiful things you encountered on your walk!
Lovely pictures Jude and that is so cute - you two hand-in-hand at the American-British war site!
And a lovely week to you as well :)

I love being outside and enjoying nature. Its the best... that's why I live in Vermont :) Where is this? I thought you were in England?
I need to take a walk! And seriously, red in trees just makes me smile.
Everything looks so pretty! I miss the fall already... everything here is already dead and gray. Ugh!
Aww, what a nice set of pictures and yes, awesome that an American and Brit stroll through the site now!

Addicted to red maple trees so much that I ordered two last fall for our garden.. unfortunately our gardner picked the wrong ones and we ended up with a duller version...oh, well!
Thanks for your great wishes:::)

I'll take this version of Mother Nature over the cold version that i'm experiencing now:-). But that's the beauty of Mother Nature, so unpredictable and filled with sweet surprises and sometimes not so sweet...Happy Monday lovely Jude! XX

Looks like you had fun. Beautiful pictures.

beautiful photos.
So beautiful! It looks nothing like that here. It looks lifeless and cold. Those pictures are so beautiful and full of joy! I miss fall already.
Whenever we get out in the mountains I am ever so much more thankful for my sight and sense of smell. Nature is a real treasure in itself!
Great photos!!! That is too cool.
This old tree picture it unbelievable ! I want to touch it !
xx
wow, so beautiful! I wish fall lasted longer here...it seems to only last a few weeks. Blink and its gone!
Love the angle of the tree trunk. I enjoy being outdoors, breathing fresh air. I like your comment about the last photo..An american and a Brit walking hand -in-hand".
I love the photography, it's truly inspiring. Did you take them yourself?
Hi mice_aliling, thanks so much! Yes, I took these over the weekend - it's my budget point-and-shoot camera, nothing fancy :)
These are gorgeous, especially the tree trunk. You're making me home sick. There aren't very many trees down south here.
Hope you're having a fabulous week Jude!
