{Yauatcha's excellent dumplings, cheung fun and lotus rice packets}
Oh dim sum! You delicious little things, you're so hard to find in truly tasty (not bland, over-greasy, over-salty) form. (This is sadly true even in Hong Kong!) Thankfully, Yauatcha gets it right. This is not your typical dim sum house, no loud din or foodcarts.
And it might be hard, but save room for beautiful tea & bonbons!
P.S. Yauatcha is Michelin starred. :)
P.P.S. On a totally different note, it's late musician Peter Tosh's birthday. I've listened to Downpressor Man since childhood & it got me through challenging times...music can have such power.

these do look beautiful, I love dim sum, used to love going in Hong kong and part of the joy was watching the old women push the trolleys with their gold teeth showing! memories....
@BenchesandChandeliers - thanks so much! Love this stuff :)
@Justine - I love that vivid imagery! Conjures up my (brief) stay in Hong Kong. How fantastic to revisit...
I adore Peter Tosh's music;-)
It was my constant companion in Jamaica, Barbados and Mustique!
Hope you are well and enjoying Autumn. Ahhh, all that delicious looking food - must visit when next in London;-)
yum!
Oh my, this looks like such a nice spot, would love to dine there some day!
And it's good to be back, thank god they let me on that plane :)
...And now I'm feeling peckish! :)
Sigh...it all looks so amazing. Such beautiful presentation. I WANT!
LOVE your pics...Im turning into such a foodie!!
Read my interview w/Susan from ModCloth♥
Such eye candy here Jude! I could just dive into the screen and devour it all-lol! I grew up with Peter Tosh and still jam to his music at home. He is definitely one of the greats! Happy Tuesday and great post! XX
Wow, those desserts look amazing! I really do love dim sum too, but often times don't want to go because of the typical dimsum environment that you mentioned briefly. It makes me feel very nervous and frustrated, with everyone yelling and chewing so loudly!
just one of the reasons why i miss my hometown whilst living here in france the traditional land of 'french is best' regarding anything foodie..
Oh my God I love love love dim sum and it's so hard to get the good stuff. When I was on business trips to HK I would always stuff my face with these. I like the foodcarts and the noisy atmosphere, actually... but I wouldn't say no to a posh michelin-starred restaurant like this, either!
Wow, this place looks incredible! Definitely not your average dim sum ; )
YUM!
oh wow, everything looks SO delicious!!
I have to admit I'm unfamiliar with Peter Tosh - will have to check him out! xo
Perfect timing. We just started planning an England trip for next which might include a few days in London - my restaurant possibility list has just begun!

OMG the first picture really makes me hungry.

Oh, it all looks so tasty! And now I'm craving Chinese and macaroons :)
Almost too pretty to eat!
I love Dim Sum like none else but haven't had it in so long. You are so right- it's hard to find the good stuff. Now I am extra craving it!
i LOVE dimsum!
Since we cannot get goo dim sum here either, may I just have doubles on the tea and bon bons??
Wonderful photographs Jude!
Oh, that looks so very inviting! Sigh - I'm hungry now...!
And I bookmarked it...! :-)

Thanks for all your awesome comments! :)
I have never actually had dim sum! There are tons of places around here, but I just haven't gone...

Hope you're having a wonderful day xoxo
I want to eat EVERYTHING in this post. YUM!
If I could I'd have dim sum every Sunday. But we have to be quick as the best stuff gets over fast. This place looks very cool and up-market. I bet their dim sum are to-die-for
Stop! You're making my mouth water! <3
Gorgeous pictures Jude and I remember seeing them featured on was it Gordon Ramsay's challenge?
Anyway will definitely put this on the list when we're visiting London!

Why do you always have to make me hungry? HA! I want a macaron NOW!
I'm looking at the Taste of Yauatcha menu right now....Roasted duck pumpkin puff? Chicken taro croquette? I like! I like!
What enticing pictures... I am dying of jealousy. This looks so tasty... yes, hungry! Missing Dim Sum, I have not found the best place for this in New York!
Have a wonderful evening:)
Peter Tosh takes me straight back to growing up as well. Happy birthday to him! And wow, Michelin starred! I love the idea of dim sum, but it's so hard for me to eat since I am vegetarian. :(
Ooh, I spy macaroons!
