Photos du jour: Leaves are fading

How time flies! Photographed in Central Park (previous autumn) and Hudson Valley, NY (this autumn).

P.S. The Leaves are Fading is also a lovely ballet - a reflection on passing time & past loves as one enters the autumn of life - this bit is danced by husband/wife Amanda McKerrow & John Gardner (dance starts @ 55 seconds).
(From the American Ballet Theatre, YouTube clip here.)

Well I can assure you that in my yard, the leaves have already fallen! Trees stripped nekit from strong winds over the weekend, and guess who gets to rake the lawn? All we need now is some snow to pretty things up.

The leaves are so beautiful. Precisely where I want to be right now. Yes, it will be warm here in San Diego today, but I'd much rather have my fall colors. And that ballet looks amazing. Maybe I'll get to one when I'm back in the NYC area.

So beautiful. That's the fall imagine all the time. It's going to be 90 degrees here in CA. 90 degrees!!! The leaves are still trying to fall here. :)

This morning, prior to reading your post, I bought tickets to the ballet for Christmas and suggested to my husband that next year we should try to go to Hudson Valley to see the fall colors! It's as though you read my mind this morning.

What a wonderful way to say goodbye to all the gorgeous color we've had, and I just loved the video!
I see that some of these were photographed in the Hudson Valley. If you get the chance, one of the most gorgeous places in New York State to capture the color of fall is Harriman State Park. Beyond description!

I also read about how beautiful it is, especially at this time of year, on another blog too. I'll check out the video too-sounds romantic:-). Happy Tuesday! XX

The only thing I don't love about fall is that its a preview to winter. Otherwise, everything is gorgeous!

These are beautiful Fall colours. It must be the varieties of trees involved but the US Autumn colours always seem more vibrant than we get here in the UK!

BTW I loved the story of the Night Marchers at my place ...spooky!
