If you think paddling across 41 miles of open ocean in a sliver of a boat, battering large waves from every side, sounds crazy...you're right! Congratulations to my crazy brother for completing the Molokai Hoe in Hawaii - one of the craziest races in the world!!
And I couldn't mention Molokai without sharing a picture, could I? :)
~ Have a crazy-wonderful weekend! ~

This is just too awesome! Congrats to bro'!! I have a friend who did a race between Oahu and Kauai...years ago...and can still remember the high energy and jubiliation on that day when they finally paddled across the finish line. Certainly not something that I fit to do but it's so much fun to watch!

ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible brother! And this will seem very silly but I think (could it be?) there were images of this race as the closing credits of the old Hawaii 50? Yes, a child of the 1970s, I was allowed to stay up to watch this show... xo bb
