Hi Signe - you can actually find orchids sometimes growing in really random places! This one happened to be one of my mum's :)

I'm no orchid expert but we have the Eric Young Orchid Foundation here which I like to visit at least once a year and if I'm right, I think I recognise this variety. Doesn't it have a heavenly scent as well as being stunningly beautiful?
Hi Angelcel - yes, this is one of my mum's and she tends to like the "smellable" ones with a great scents! So fun you have an orchid visit once a year, what a fabulous tradition!
