To celebrate the colder season, I challenged myself to find the most "wintery" looking photo of Hawaii I had. If you pretend that water is freezing, not tropical, couldn't it be an arctic seascape?:)
{Photographed in Honolulu, but let's say it's Helsinki. :)}

lovely.
:)
Nice photos
Kisses.
I love it!
I don't want to ruin everything but in Helsinki there wouldn't be a sun :) There wouldn't be those beautiful lights! There would be just that foggy/grey/twilight something and water would be deep green grey :) I guess it's clear where I live - just some 350-400 km from Helsinki :)
It takes a little bit of an effort to wrap my mind around that suggestion but if I had b/w vision like my dogs do....sure it's fah-reezing! I've been waking up to 6°C mornings. And you?
Hihi, not really! But still lovely :)
hhmmm, wish I was there instead of here!
Hahaha, you're too cute! This is a beautiful photo! I'm so jealous of you right now, as I'm looking out the window at grey skies and windy rain!
I would take that winter any day :) Happy Wednesday, sweetie! xoxo
lovely -- because i can't imagine winter! xo bb
Yes, you did it. I can totally imagine it and would love to be walking along there in a sweater.
Um not really- it looks warm and inviting!
this photo is beautiful!
Lovely picture!
I would SO much rather be there than here!
Glorious!!
Sometimes the best things in life are free!
Oh no, in my heart it is Hawaii and I am there with my hubby. Sigh. Big sigh.
Yes, I could imagine it being freezing in this pic! So pretty :) xo
what a beautiful photo!! *sigh* i miss hawaii!! <3
I don't know about that Jude! Looks far too gorgeous to be anything but warm and wonderful.
Beautiful shot!
Oh ha ha nice try but I know it's nice and warm and sunny over there!
My parents are from Fiji, so I understand what you mean by lack of wintery-ness. It looks lovely, and I envy you being in a warm place all the time :)
just uproot me into that photo please
that shot is GORGEOUS!!!! love the coppery glow!!!!
I love your photo du jour, Jude. Much love for today xxxx
Yes, you did capture the wintery look! Beautiful...I would love to be sitting on that beach right now.

Totally could be arctic! You know what's so funny--far away parts of the world seem so exotic, but they're just not really all that different from the parts we're familiar with (if that makes any sense). I was on a train in China once, heading from Beijing to Shanhaiguan, and there were fields all around me, and I just kept thinking "this could just as easily be Ohio." Such a crazy thing to think about!
what a beautiful photo!
thankyou for the comment on my blog :)

Hi,
I just came over here from a Taste of T. Love your blog and am following. Hope you'll check out my blogs as well :)
PS. Were you just in Rome? So was I. I'm also on the east coast, so I feel your pain about the cold. You'll get used to it :)
That photo is magical:)
I wish I could be there right now:)
Kisses, my dear
Mmmm I love Hawaii. P.S. - I left you an award: http://www.atasteoft.com/2010/11/friendly-relay-award.html
Awwhhhhhhhhh! That's nice!
Ha, ha, i'll pretend that i'm donning my parka walking along the shore:-). it's beautiful; hot or cold. XX
So funny... we do the same thing in Okinawa... looking for subtle changes in the air and water, but it's mostly the same tropical beauty year round!
I think of Hawaii as being similar to Fiji and Rarotonga where it's either warm or warm and humid. Perhaps I'm wrong.
Gorgeous. Definitely get the wintery look! Nice work, Jude.
Beautiful picture !!
Jealous of this gorgeous photo :)
Thanks for commenting on my interview on Fashion Train :) www.clashingtime.blogspot.com <3
