Now that August - and the August break - is ending (sniff, sob), summer already feels further away...

  1. I know what you mean, Oslo is getting colder and colder by the day and I even had to dig out my jacket!

Ah well, I love autumn as well but the Norwegian winter can be a bit rough, good thing it's still a few months away :)

  2. HI Signe - it's amazing how quickly summer went by! I look forward to autumn too, though I am also not a big fan of long winters.

(But I shouldn't complain about London or US winters to a Norweigian! ;))

  13. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is sad about summer ending! But in Hawaii the winters must be pretty mild, no? (do they have winters there at all???)

  15. It can't be getting colder in Hawaii....can it?

It is a bit cooler today in southern Italy, but I think it's just a break from the heat.

  16. Hi Lisa - hahaa, true, good reminder! Gosh, I'm definitely not looking forward to winter. Thanks so much about photo - I'm going to miss August Break. Hope to keep seeing your lovely photos on your blog or Flickr!

Hi Alternative Wife - Oh, sigh sigh, it does make a bit sad - the summer went by so fast!

Hi LenoreNeverMore - heehee, true! true! I'll focus on Thanksgiving and Xmas being "just" weeks away instead! :) (Thanks re: photo!)

Hi Stacey - gosh, I'm missing it already :) It really flew by this year! (I *love* ocean blues, Wouldn't mind being in the blue right now ;))

Hi Krysten - I can't believe it too! This year specially, it was like a blink of the eye!

Hi Melissa - here here! thankfully, fall is a gorgeous time of year :)

Hi Cafe Bellini - yeah, this summer went by too quick! Haha, and you're absolutely right - we don't get winters in Hawaii! The oceans cool a bit, and it rains more, maybe...(the weakest excuse for "winter" weather :))

Hi Amanda - I do love ocean blues! And hoped this visual might do the trick ;)

  17. Hi Shopgirl - that's true, Hawaii just doesn't get very cold - no winters! :)

I think the worst we get is a bit of rain, some cooler water temps for swimming - but bearable! Hmm...I don't know why I don't spend winters there (I always spend winter in the dark, cold places ;)
